THE TOUR
This ride is a one-day tour of beautiful JoDaviess County, Illinois that features hilly terrain, spectacular ridge top panoramas and long valley views. With the seasonal cooperation of nature, our normally breathtaking scenery will be made even more beautiful by the vibrant fall foliage. After the ride enjoy free entry to the 5th annual Galena Oktoberfest situated in Galena’s charming downtown historic district.
Travel either of two clearly marked routes from 50 to 100 kilometers on rolling, low traffic, paved roads throughout a rural setting. These challenging routes will be fully supported with good food and drink (not to mention passing three local wineries along the way), maps, road markings, and SAG vehicles. All riders must start by 10:00 a.m. to ensure completion of the ride before darkHow To Get There:
Enter Galena on Hwy. 20.
Turn north onto Main Street (left if travelling from the west, right if travelling from the east).
Continue on Main Street to Meeker Street & turn right.
In approximately two blocks Meeker Street becomes Field Street and Recreation Park is on the right.
